Prepping Preschoolers
The Preschool teachers are entrusted with the task of preparing their students for Kindegarten. The children will begin with activities that help them meet learning goals based on individual assessments. Since this age is ready for a higher level of challenge, there will be more focus on literacy and math, as well as the following:
- Motor Skill Development – outdoor games, dancing, catching a ball
- Language Development – recognizing and forming letters, story time, speech,
- Imaginative Development – dramatic play and story telling
- Social Development – large and small group activities, sharing with others, cooperating with others
In addition, teachers will help preschoolers develop:
- Self control and direction
- Independence
- Self Confidence
- Social Skills
